Docent / Volunteer Program

If you like people and animals, Wildlife Safari is the place for you to invest your time and energy and have a WILD time doing it!
Wildlife Safari Docents perform various functions around the park, including the following:
- Leading drive-through tours
- Performing animal watches
- Preparing animal diets
- Working with the animals (after training and approval by zoology staff)
- Assisting with special events
- Helping with office work
- Data entry / bulk mailing
- Running the train ride
- Staffing the information booth
REQUIREMENTS:
To become a Wildlife Safari docent, there are severval requirements:
- You must be 18 years or older
- You must be able to put in at least 10 hours a month
- You must be able to attend (2) docent meetings a month.
The Docents meet every Monday Morning at 9:00 am in the White Rhino Event Center. All you have to do is show up. Docents will greet you and inform you on WHAT IS NEXT to be a Wildlife Safari Docent.
